Together - AFFB Layout

Hi there, I have a bright, fun layout to share with you today! I just received some rainbow flair from A Flair For Buttons, so I had to make a rainbow layout to put them on! I recently picked up the August kit from Paper Issues and it's all about the rainbow! Lately I have been gravitating towards bright colors and rainbows because I've needed the boost. I chose this photo of a recent gathering of scrap friends because it also makes me happy.

I took my favorite stencil by Julie Balzer. I inked it with a rainbow of Distress Inks, misted, then stamped it onto watercolor paper.

Maps

Welcome to CSI's mid month case release! This case is all about take a trip or planning a trip. I couldn't resist capturing this photo of my husband and son mapping out a bike trail excursion. My grandson had to pop in and take part of the planning. It was just adorable.

I used map paper, people elements, and stamps, from the evidence list and my journaling is about this planning of the trip. Aren't they just adorable?

I used flair from A Flair For Buttons and stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Scrapbook.com Exclusive: Sentimentos Espanoles

Scrapbook.com recently sent me their new Spanish Sentiment stamp set. I have to say that their polymer stamps sets stamp so well and I love the sayings and font variety. I applied Deco Foil transfer gel though a stencil, then foiled with shattered glass rainbow Deco Foil. I then adhered the foiled piece to my card base using a piece of Scrapbook.com exclusive adhesive sheet. The adhesive is nice and strong and can take the weight of my foiled strip. Then I stamped the Gracias sentiment with Scrapbook.com exclusive black ink, using the small Scrapbook.com  stamp block, which stamped a nice, crisp image. I used a Scrapbook.com exclusive ink dauber to add Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the edges of my sentiment spot and adhered it to the base with a Scrapbook.com tape runner. Finally, I sprinkled a rainbow of sequins.

Come peruse the awesome line of Scrapbook.com exclusives today. The lineup is growing every month!

Life's A Journey

Today I have an A Flair For Buttons layout to share with you. We recently were tasked with bringing a semi truck back to town. It was a bit unexpected and we had to put our car on the back to make our trip. It was fun seeing the husband doing his professional thing.

One Kit Three Ways - Falling Heart

Unity Stamp Co has a new weekly mini challenge, brought to you by Shannon Edwards. She's challenging us to use one kit in three different ways. I love to do this! It challenges you to think outside the box and shows how versatile the kits can be.

For my entry, I am making it even a bit more challenging by using one of the Itty Bitty stamps Falling Heart. It's long been one of my favorite Itty Bitty stamps. I think it's so pretty no matter how you use it.

My first card used the watercoloring on the stamp technique. I love love love this technique and I think it looks so pretty and delicate on these cute leaves. I used three colors of Distress Ink green, then I stamped the sentiment, from Girl Truly, using the medium green.Glitter Nuvo drops fill the hearts

For my second card, I stamped in black on kraft paper. I love black on kraft, but this time I added some pearly Nuvo drops in the hearts and matted with some green paper for my ode to the leaf. The sentiment is from the Sentiment Kit Good Things With Wings

My final card was made by stamping in black on watercolor paper, where I did some ink smooshing with Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. I matted onto a doily, then some patterned paper. The hearts are blinged with little clear gems.
