Sheltered

It's another month at CSI and I love the first case! Any time I get to scrap my favorite place in the world, the Oregon Coast, is awesome. This visit we went over and found it to be very windy. We went down to the beach and saw a whole little village of driftwood shelters set up. Most had occupants for the day, but we found a couple that were vacant and moved into one. They offer the perfect retreat from the wind and you can just soak up the warm sun and listen to the surf. It was a lovely day.

I found this piece of paper that was perfect for the color palette and added some crackle texture paste through a fun stencil. I added some burlap behind the photos for good texture. I stamped and cut out some travel/nautical items then inked them up and added micro beads and some gears. I took a metal saying and added some patina, put a couple of birds and signs. I placed stickers on the sandy part of one photo and just outlined them to help them stand out. Finally added some journal strips about the day.

Evidence used: nautical elements, string, wet medium, mesh, and metal

Testimony is journaling about my outing.
