Coastal Pocket Mini

Recently Unity Stamp Co celebrated their 11th birthday and to kick off the festivities, they did a FB live, with projects. One of the projects shown by Angela was this fun patterned paper folded pocket card. You can see the video here. It's the first project shared. I thought that it looked like a quick, fun project that packs a punch. I thought, "Hmmmm....these pages would make a great mini album", so I made four of the pocket cards, one backwards so I'd have a solid cover, bound them together with my Cinch binding machine and set to work capturing memories of being in my favorite place with my favorite guy.

Like I said, I made four of the pocket cards, assembling one of them backwards to give me a solid cover. I used St Tropez by Prima. Such a beautiful collection and perfect for my coastal photos.

 

I used one of the journaling cards in the kit for my frame and added some of the coordinating gems and chipboard elements, a sentiment and shell from The Ocean Is Calling SMAK kit from Unity. The beach flair from A Flair For Buttons was the perfect final touch.

Here is are the inside pages. I made personalized tags using the WRMK Tab Punch Board. What a useful tool this is! You can make tabbed tags any size you need!

2018 December Daily - A Flair For Buttons

I'm super excited to share my first post with A Flair For Buttons! I love making a December Daily album to remember the little things that happen amongst the Christmas chaos. It's all those little moments that make up what's really important in our lives.


My friend made 80 ten page mini albums for a kid's camp this summer, so she had 800 pieces of kraft scrap left over. She decided to make a bunch of tags to have on hand and sent me a big pile. I thought the larger style tag would make a cute DD and not take a ton of time. I really love how it turned out and I'm going to have to make more of these tag albums in the future.
I used the Snow And Cocoa collection from Crate Paper. I just love these papers. They are cute and have a good mix of colors and patterns. For my cover, I used some of the chipboard elements and added the So Fun flair from Phrases 2

AUS Mini Using Flourish By Crate Paper

Have you seen Flourish, by Crate Paper yet? It's a Scrapbook.com exclusive and it is beautiful! 

I decided the collection would make an excellent mini album for my photos of my trip to Australia. I used a Paige Evans cut file and my Silhouette machine. This album comes in five sections, glued back to back, with the option of making a little pocket when binding. I used each section for a different activity on our trip. I was surprised at how many phots I could get in; I printed off an entire 8.5x11 sheet of photo paper's worth for each section.

I use the little binder clip to hold the album open, after it's fanned out. Here is a peek at the inside.

Flourish, by Crate Paper

Envelope Mini Album With Crate Paper's Snow and Cocoa

Paige Evans released the cutest little, interactive mini album to the Silhouette Design Store and I thought it would be perfect for photos of my grandson. It folds flat, is small enough to tuck into your purse, yet still holds a lot of photos and hidden surprises. Most of the photos were taken in December and January, so I used the adorable Snow and Cocoa, by Crate Paper. The papers are fun and the characters are adorable. I especially love the little polar bear!

 

 

 

 

 

I finished off the piece with some sentiments from Unity Stamp Co and stitching, to firmly hold the papers together. I also love the feel that the stitching gave the book; a more supple feeling.
