My project is a card featuring a starry night, die cut stars, with this big and bold sentiment.
Firstly, I created a night sky using the Midnight Blue Scrapbook.com Exclusive Hybrid Ink. Blends like buttah. A bit of white spray ink creates the starry night look. I cut out two star frames, using the exclusive Nested Star dies and painted them with Gansai Tambi gold paint. My third star is simply the center of one of my cut out frames. I stamped the JOY, from the exclusive Big and Bold stamp set, with Cardinal Red Exclusive Hybrid Ink and the TO THE WORLD in Midnight Blue. I cut the letters of JOY out and popped them up using the exclusive square foam adhesives. A sprinkling of sequins was my finishing touch.

Such a joyful card! Love the stars! We have so many traditions from finding the perfect tree, to dated ornaments, to photos with Santa! Can't wait to celebrate this year with the 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your design! So fun to see how each designer used the same products differently.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cute! Love the negatives and the fabulous design. Every year my husband and I stay up way past midnight to wrap the presents and display them around the tree.
ReplyDeletePretty card! Great use of the star dies!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Loving all the ideas of using the stars!
ReplyDeleteFun card bursting with JOY! My husband and I love to take pictures and then create a memory book with them. This year will be our sixth and each time we make at least one mistake.
ReplyDeleteI like the Joy to the World message!!!! It looks great. It reminds me of going to my sister' singing performances at her pre-school. They sang a lot of "real" Christmas songs, and I LOVED it.!!~

ReplyDeleteLove the stars and the sentiment on your card. Very festive yet Spiritual. Favorite holiday memories are Midnight Mass, husband playing Santa for 42 years, and the lights.
The midnight blue is pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun card to make ... would have loved to see you make this in a video. I learn so many new tips that way but a beautiful card!! Christmas for me is filled with so many memories. My favorite memory is being with my Grama and seeing what color her tree was each year … either traditional (multi color w/ silver icicles), or a Chrismon tree with white/gold ornaments (all of which were hand-made). This will be our 2nd Christmas without her. I would give anything to see her tree again (she was 102 the last time she put her tree up ... She would have been 104 on Dec. 3rd.) I miss her and all her traditions! (a.k.a. Corrie Hanson @ cozycorner1902@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteI love the colors, perfect for all holidays in this season.
ReplyDeleteFun card and very creative!!! I love how you used the star dies and cut out the JOY!!! My favorite Christmas tradition is when our family gathers for Christmas Eve.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card. I love the starry night and the cut out stars. I am really enjoying that Bold Christmas sentiment stamp set. One of my favorite Christmas memories is of us attending candle light service at church and when it was over my son and one of his friends yelled out - "Merry Christmas". They were so young and so cute!
ReplyDeleteNot site why my comments are coming up unknown. I’m Beth & I love your card!
ReplyDeleteVery nice how you cut out the letters in JOY.
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of our Christmas Eve gathering with family and friends after church. Traditionally, that meal always included tamales.

ReplyDeleteHelping my Mom decorate her house has always been a special memory. One year she decided to set up all of her big Santas in the living room and dining room area. She had about 10 of them! We set up little areas for each one and she was so thrilled with the display we made!
